Position: Professor Division: Electrodynamics and Optics
Recently, I focus on high temperature thermochemistry/thermophysics (from thousands to tens of thousands of kelvins) – in that regime the classical approach can be applied. Metastable and scattering states play a significant role ands the ro-vibrational coupling is not negligible. My presentation on these topics can be found here.
My other research is the filed of reaction rate constant, equilibrium constant, and isotope effects (taking into account quantum effects). In simulations I apply the Monte Carlo method based on path integrals (PIMC – Path Integral Monte Carlo). Previously, as the Ph.D. student, I did reseach in quantum chemistry, in particular the harmonium atom.
